Increasing German interest – the effects of the crisis?
As one of the exhibitionists of the hungarian stand, marmara Hotel Budapest has had quite a successfull ITB. The hotel was very popular, not only with the potential partners but with other countries touristic suppliers as well. The more than 30 meetings have not only brought the expected sucess, but also have brought reservations to the hotel. The hotels attractive opening offer and holiday packages cought the attention of the about 60-70 thousand visitors and the close to 110 thousand registered guests.
From the services offered on the stand set up by the Magyar Turizmus Rt. the most popular was the kürtös cake baking, and so the hotel is planning to promote the delicacy further among our guests in the future.

The first room in marmara HOTEL
marmar HOTEL has fixed up its first guest room to be seen by the public and will be followed by the rest 96. The unique doors with oriental patterns can be closed, the installation of the furniture and other room equipments are in progress. The decor elements of the restaurant has already arrived, the tieling on the ground floor is in almost at the final state, and the reception desk and the bar could be set soon. The facade of the hotel is not quite ready, the shutters are being placed in their final position, will be followed by the lightning signs. Busy work is going on at the sales department as the hotel participates in many fairs such as BIT in Milan, ITB in Berlin and the IMEX in Frankfurt during the first part of the year. The Werbe Grand Prix competition for advertisements and publications, organised every year by the Austrian T.A.I. (Turizmuswirtschaft Austria & International), will be held this year at the Salzburg Ferienmesse, between 20. and 22. February. The competition is the leader amongst the competitions of the marketing tools around the world. Beside the professional jury the visitors, as the main target audience, also requested to vote. One of the voters will be lucky enough to spend 5 days in the latest 4-star category boutique hotel of the Hungarian capital, marmara HOTEL Budapest.
